We had a blast these last three days. Kurt and I drove to Durango . Thursday was wonderful. The scenery was gorgeous and the drive pleasant. Durango, for those who don't know is a little town, kind of like St. George only greener. They have a WalMart, no Target, but a great little historic downtown district. Friday we went to Mesa Verde which for me, was an extremely religious and awe inspiring adventure. You have to really want to see this place because it takes a while to drive up the mountain and then hike down to the ruins. We saw only two but they were spectacular. Today we drove back and it took us almost 8 hours. Two and half hours were spent getting from Durango to Silverton....whatta road...kind of white knuckle drive. But we had fun.
